The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in delivering administrative support to the Greater Prudhoe Bay (GPB) Operations group for multiple Eastern Operating Area facilities.


 


Accountabilities Include:


 


  Participate as part of the GPB team in achieving desired business performance by identifying areas for process improvement, enrolling the groups commitment, and then cooperatively resourcing and/or delivering effective processes to resolve issues or to meet business objectives.


  Participate as a contributing member of the broader team in special projects and activities in support of the business objectives of BP Exploration Alaska.


  Compile, prepare, and type various statistical reports/graphs to support staff, supervisors or managers.


  Produce professional business correspondence utilizing proof-reading, grammar, and punctuation skills.


  Participate as part of the Incident Management team.


  Maintain and update website as needed.


  Coordinate travel arrangements and special events.


  Assist other employees with overflow work, related duties, or special projects.


  Perform standard office duties as filing, routing incoming and outgoing mail, as well as making copies.


  Operate in a climate of confidentiality requiring discretion.


  Schedule appointments for various individuals.


  Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and refer appropriately.


 
Required Qualifications:


To be considered for the role of Administrative Assistant applicants must have:


 


  Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.


  A minimum of 7years of administrative support experience.


  A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.


  The willingness and ability to work on the North Slope of Alaska on a rotating schedule of 2 weeks on/off.


  Proof of a valid drivers license and a clear driving record.


  The willingness and ability to drive in arctic conditions.


  A minimum of intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Scheduler.


  The willingness and ability to routinely climb stairs in arctic conditions.


 


Preferred Qualifications:


In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:


 


  A minimum of 3 years of experience managing rotational work schedules for large groups in a high activity environment.
