Senior Accountant - International

Our client, a leader in the development and sale of wireline, wireless, optical and switching solutions, has an immediate need for an individual to assist with the review and analysis of international financial data. Specific responsibilities include the following: * Review monthly accounting packages received by international offices and accounting bureaus and follow up on any large or unusual transactions. * Upload monthly results from international offices and accounting bureaus into Oracle. * Reconcile various balance sheet accounts including inter-company accounts. * Review and obtain approval for monthly cash funding requests made by international offices. * Work closely with accountants at international locations to resolve issues and ensure that transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP. * Work with international offices and accounting bureaus to ensure that all statutory audit and tax filings are submitted on time. * Key participant in month end close processes. Qualifications :
Qualified candidates will possess the following minimum levels of skills and experience: * BS in Accounting. * Three plus years experience in accounting and finance. * Excel experience at an intermediate level * Previous experience with Oracle Financials and inter-company accounting is required. * Experience with Application Desktop Integrator (ADI) and Discovery preferred. * Prior experience with foreign locations a plus.
