Global Operations Manager - Strategic Planning and Analysis / Pleasanton, CA or Arlington, TX

This role will build a strategic planning function capable of charting a road map of global operations for Card Services.  The role includes, but is not limited too; the development of a team, a road map laying out a plan for deploying operations off-shore along with associated financial and business plans supporting the road map.  The organization will be expected to work with Card Services Operation executives to determine opportunities while interacting with other sister organizations within the International Planning and Operations group to establish implementation plans and operational support.  The initial assignment will be to build the team required to meet both the near-term and long-term business goals, which will require an assessment of the existing roles, responsibilities and capabilities. This team will also supply subject matter expertise and support to business executives in determining opportunities and alternative locations to meet financial/customer satisfaction goals. 

 

This position will report directly to the First Vice President of International Planning and Operations and will be highly visible, fast paced and dynamic. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the resource and talent development of a team as well as the strategic investment in procedures and infrastructure to ensure that our production process can meet and exceed the future requirements of the business. The candidate will have direct responsibility for the associated budget for the operations. Candidate will also manage communication between the production environment and the other impacted organizations like business relationship managers. This role will be responsible for planning, staffing and managing the capacity of this function. Candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting current information on global opportunities, road map status, issues impacting expectations, updates and performance to executive management. Candidate will need to ensure that the sister organizations of implementation and operations are ready and/or ahead of schedule for all deliverables on road map projects. 




Required:
o 5+ years experience in strategic planning role and outsourcing strategies.
o 5+ years experience in Business Planning and Financial Accounting at a program level.
o 5+ years direct management experience of high caliber, talented professionals.
o 3+ years experience in Financial Services industry
o Excellent negotiating skills.
o Experience in Relationship/Account Management.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Independent yet collaborative and interactive team player.
o Understanding of technology and global communications.
o Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

 

Preferred:
o Senior Management Experience.
o Experience in Credit Card Operations - Call Center, Back Office, Collections and Telemarketing Support.
o Third party vendor management experience.
o Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
