Lead Tax Services (LTS) practitioners provide day-to-day client service, in many cases managing the overall client relationship. LTS also identifies service opportunities in new and existing clients and develops and sustains superior tax technical competencies at the local, cluster and national levels.
LTS consultants will be responsible for developing an understanding of the Deloitte Tax LLP tax approach, methodology and tools. Projects may include performing and reviewing tax compliance in order to identify additional client service opportunities. Additional responsibilities include keeping clients informed of tax developments that affect their business and helping clients interpret and integrate tax considerations into their business strategy. Consultants are expected to exhibit professional, business-like demeanor and establish consultative working relationships with client personal.
• Bachelor of
Science/Business Administration, Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation, or JD or LLM Degree (with undergraduate accounting degree)
• Minimum requirements to sit for CPA exam before beginning full-time employment preferable
• Strong academic credentials
• Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
• Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
