SEC Reporting Manager

The Nashville office of Vaco Financial is working with several fast growing companies across the Middle Tennessee that are looking to add an SEC Reporting/Financial Reporting Manager.

The Manager of Financial Reporting will be responsible for preparation of financial statements including SEC reporting requirements and GAAP research as needed. In addition, this position will assist the Corporate Controller with developing appropriate systems/processes to support the accuracy of the financial reporting process including compliance with Sarbanes section 404. Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for a significant amount of internal management and internal/external reporting and analysis. The role involves the following responsibilities:


Key Responsibilities:


Lead and supervise the following processes:

Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules for management s discussion and analysis for Form 10-Q and Form 10-K reporting.
Oversee the balance sheet review and analysis process.
Remain current with new accounting technical standards impacting financial reporting.
Monitor compliance with SEC Financial reporting rules and regulations.
Manage Sarbanes Oxley compliance process, related to financial reporting and disclosures, including the development and implementation of the procedures necessary to achieve certification.


Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

CPA required
7+ years of accounting experience
2+ year of prior management experience required
Ability to establish strong working relationships
Strong computer skills and background with systems
Track record of significant accomplishments
Ability to attend to details


Education:

Degree in Finance or Accounting required.

Desired qualifications:

2+ years of public accounting experience desired
