Accounting Clerk

INFINITY INSURANCE COMPANY is a leader in the auto insurance industry with over 740,000 policies in force. We are currently seeking a ACCOUNTING CLERK for our corporate accounting department.

In this position you may:
prepare and submit quarterly tax returns and pre-payments to state insurance departments
prepare and submit annual premium tax returns to state insurance departments
researches items which can be used as credits against tax premiums
compiles and prepares statistical reports for associations and state insurance departments
provides Financial Unit with required data for input in financials
set up and maintains files for various taxes
monitors Escheat balances

Requirements:
one year bookkeeping experience or educational equivalent
working knowledge of premium tax laws and preparation of tax reports strongly preferred
calculator by touch
basic knowledge of spreadsheet software
must have good communication skills and attention to detail
